A new year a new begining ! . A cold start to hopefully what will be a better year weather wise than 2009. Our early hatched breeders from last year have been laying right through the winter keeping us well stock up with eggs while some of our older birds were going through the annual molt . If you are keeping back birds for breeding for next year it is best to keep them from birds hatched in February and March as these birds tend to grow bigger than those hatched later in the year more about this will be posted up as soon as I get a chance. We have just installed a new automatic drinking system in our rearing sheds which will cut down on filling up the drinkers all the time also it will supply the chicks with fresh water. The website has been updated a bit with pictures and also some new breeds were added more to come on this over the next few days
